Peruvian born designer and visual artist, Cecilia "Ceci" Merino, integrates a lifetime of aesthetic appreciation to all her creative endeavors. Upon entering the art world, Ceci joined the prestigious Moss Gallery of Latin American Fine Arts where she became Assistant Curator - planning, designing and coordinating several major exhibitions of prominent Latin American Masters as well contemporary Latino artists.
With an eye on creating her own design firm, Ceci worked with several designers and manufacturers immersing herself in learning the processes and procedures necessary to effectively translate creative designs to finished products.
In 1999, Ceci Design was born, introducing her sculptural line of home accessories; Ceci now offers commissioned design services including commercial interiors, residential staging, product design and visuals for product merchandising and display.
In 2009, Ceci looked to integrate the use of green design thru the use of sustainable, environmentally friendly materials in congruence with the goals of emission and carbon footprint reduction.
Cecilia is also active in the Latino community; working with local non profit "La Casa de las Madres" who specializes in the fight against Domestic Violence and was certified by the National Violence Against Women Act to facilitate support. She helps monolingual women and children with their many daily challenges.
She brings her creative eye to every aspect of her work and the world around her.
